Evan Mudd 2013 CSAA City Champion
Shot Put
St Edward 8th grader Evan Mudd wins the City Championship in the shot put with a throw of 40-01.00. Evan has been throwing the shot since 4th grade. Evan worked with throws coach David Hollifield for many years. Unfortunatley coach Hollifield passed away suddenly the year before. At City Evan's 1st two throws we not up to his usual standards and he was getting frustrated, but on his 3rd and final throw Evan threw the 8lbs shot over 40 feet, his best of the season. Evan's winning throw was 3 feet farther than the next best distance. Evan must have had a little help from above (thanks Coach Hollifield).
