Middle School State Champion
Abigail capped off her amazing Cross Country career at St Edward with her 3rd individual State Championship. She also won the 6th grade & under State in 2014 and 4th grade & under in 2012.
She is the only runner in Kentucky State history to accomplish the State Championship trifecta.
Before the season started, Abigail's goal was to win state. To achieve her goal she started training in June and diligently stuck to her training regiment through October. She peaked at the right time running her best at the State Championship. She finished 18 seconds ahead of the 2nd place runner with an impressive time of 15:15.80 on the tough, hilly Masterson Station 4K course. Abigail finished the regular season undefeated by winning all her meets by an average of more than 30 seconds.
Abigail also competed in 2 national meets. She finished 3rd at the CCCNYC National Championship in Evensville Indiana where she ran her 4K PR in a time of 14:59.10. She also placed 6th in her (14 yr old) age group at the AAU National Championship in Tallahassee Fl.
